New storage for seasonal items

I am sure you have a few questions like what did she do with all the stuff from the closet? Well first I had to decide what items in there did I really need. Which meant parting with a few things and moving somethings upstairs into other closets. To keep things organized I will  keep only seasonal items at the back door now. In the finished closet area there is still some room for coats to hang. We added plenty of hooks for jackets, bags and scarfs. A big basket below holds seasonal shoes. There is space for winter shoes and boots also. It is so nice to come in now and have a place to lay my purse and take off my shoes. Steve now has a comfy place to sit and take off his boots when he comes home. I love the finished product. I just need to find a little chandelier and it will be finished. Do you have an area like this that you would love to tackle but don't know where to start? Give us a call today  Steve Tank and Co, Inc. 609-335-5667 have your project finished just in time to have a place to put those winter gloves, hats and scarfs!

Finished! Neat and organized closet!

Hot Mess Closet re-do project.

Hot Mess Closet (Honey-do) Re-do

Hot Mess closet project. I'll be the first to admit I am not the best at keeping my closets organized. I like my home neat and picked up all the time. But there are times when I just kinda jam stuff into the closets. Way to many shoes and coats.LOL!! How did I get up the nerve to attack this project? Well I just could take struggling to get things in and out of this closet anymore it was time for drastic steps! So I emptied the closet Uggh that was a project in its self :(. With that done it was time to drag Steve into my project! Just what he wanted to do on a Saturday plus he just loves working in tight spaces!! Ha ha not really!

The inspiration for this project was these fabulous vintage wood panels. They have been sitting there just idling in the garage for last few years. Although in the past they had been repurposed a few different times in my stores.  Now they have come to their final resting place as the main focus of this closet project. Steve mounted them to the wall. Then built a bench (now he would have a place to sit and take off his work boots).

Are there nicks, scuffs and scratches? Or do you just need a "Color Pick Me Up" to get you going again with those interior projects? If so give us a call we will be happy to give you an estimate. Is your home stuck in a POPCORN CEILING Time warp?

Is your home stuck in a POPCORN ceiling time warp? Popcorn ceilings (a heavily textured ceiling application) that was made popular in the 70's. Some even had a bit of glitter pouf-ed (not sure if that is a word)  onto them. Over time these textured finishes become unsightly traps for dust, smoke and soot leaving them discolored and dirty. They are impossible to clean. A lot of painters will appease you by just painting over the dirt!  You may have had them patched in the past from a leak or crack and now they look even worse. It is very difficult to patch a popcorn ceiling, I don't care who is doing it the patch will always be visible.
If you have had enough of your dingy old popcorn ceiling give us a call STEVE TANK & CO,INC . We specialize in popcorn ceiling removal. We remove the popcorn with our own scraping technique that we have perfected over the years. Then we float a new finish over the old ceiling. When we are finished you are left with a FLAWLESS smooth ceiling painted in your choice of color. There will be not be a hint left of that daunting  popcorn ceiling! Your room will look fresh and clean.
